Are you ready to succeed as an Online Student?
Online learning at Darton State College provides a quality, in-depth education for students who need the flexibility and convenience that studying online affords. Online classes can be very demanding and require the student to log in regularly and complete work each week. Online students should be self-motivated, competent in Microsoft Office products, possess basic computer skills, and have good reading comprehension.
We encourage anyone who is considering online classes to take this self-assessment test to help you understand your preparedness for online learning. This assessment will help you understand your:
- Personal motivation and level of procrastination
- Learning style
- Technical competency
- On-screen reading speed and comprehension
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Life factors – is this the right season of your life to be in online courses?
