STEP 1: Open Microsoft PowerPoint.

 

 

STEP 2: When finished with your PowerPoint, click on 'File" and then "Save as Web Page'.

 

 

STEP 3: If needed, change the name of the file BEFORE you click on 'Publish'. DO NOT CLICK 'Save'.

 

 

STEP 4: Make sure that 'Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0, Netscape Navigator 3.0, or later' is checked.

 

 

STEP 5: Click 'Publish'.

 

 

STEP 6: Close PowerPoint.

 

STEP 7: A folder and a PowerPoint will appear on the desktop, click on one and then hold the 'Ctrl' key to select both.

 

STEP 8: Then, right click, place the mouse over 'Send To' and then click on 'Compressed (zipped Folder).

 

 

 

STEP 9: A new zipped folder will appear on the desktop.

 

 

STEP 10: Go to WebCT Vista.

 

 

STEP 11: Log in to Vista.

 

STEP 12:  Click on 'Basic View'.

 

STEP 13: Click on 'File Manager' in the right hand corner of the page.

 

STEP 14: Click on 'Create Folder'.

STEP 15: Name the folder.

 

STEP 16: The PowerPoint folder will appear.

 

STEP 17: Open the folder.

 

 

STEP 18: Click on 'Upload File'.

 

 

STEP 19: Click on 'Browse'.

 

 

STEP 20: Choose the zipped file.

 

 

STEP 21: Be sure to check the box next to 'Automatically expand uploaded Zip files.

 

 

STEP 22: You will now see the PowerPoint presentation.

 

 

STEP 23: Click on the Folder.

 

 

STEP 24: You will see both files.

 

 

STEP 25: Click on 'Basic View'.

 

 

STEP 26: Click on Icon that you want to place the PowerPoint in, then click on 'Go to Organizer'.

 

 

STEP 27: On the left side of the screen, click on 'Content File'.

 

 

STEP 28: Click on 'Select File'.

 

 

 

STEP 29: Click on the PowerPoint folder.

 

 

STEP 30: Click on the Folder.

 

 

STEP 31: Check the box next to the Presentation.

 

 

STEP 32: Click on 'Add Selected'.

 

 

STEP 33: The PowerPoint is now in your available for students to see.
