ECON 2105
Principles of Macroeconomics

Aaron Johnson

Welcome to the Principles of Macroeconomics class!  This course is aimed understanding the fundamentals of the U.S. and global economy, along with identifying key performance indicators.

Please be aware that taking an online course will typically be more challenging than a traditional class because it will require more personal discipline study habits and personal interaction.  In addition to meeting reading assignments each week, you will also need to participate regularly in student discussions.  I also encourage you to read SORT (Student Online Readiness Tool).  The University System of Georgia developed these guidelines to determine if online courses are right for you.

Here are some important points to consider:

  1. This course is not SELF-PACED, so make sure you do not fall behind on assignments.
  2. You are paying me to serve as your RESOURCE, so please do not hesitate to contact me about questions or concerns about the course during my office hours.
  3. You will need to be PROFICIENT with computer technology and WebCT.
  4. Information assignments, quizzes and exams are AVAILABLE in WebCT.

A quick reference guide to using the WebCT Discussion Forum is available at
http://online.darton.edu/handouts/Discussion_Forum/discussion.htm  Please remember that everyone in the class can read what is posted in the Discussion Forum.

A quick reference guide to using the WebCT Email is available at http://online.darton.edu/handouts/webCT_E-mail/email.htm
