You're Ready to Begin!
Darton College offers distance learning resources and online
orientation instructions specifically tailored to your course.
After all, you probably opted to take this distance learning
course to accommodate a hectic schedule.
Each instructor offering an online orientation
has developed a self-directed guide to getting started and succeeding in
the course. Just as timelines and policies exist in traditional
on-campus courses, online courses have their own guidelines, policies,
and schedules. You will want to familiarize yourself with these
requirements in order to maximize your opportunity for success in this
distance learning course. The good news is that once you review the
online orientation, you can begin working with online course content on
the very first day of classes.
Once you review the course-specific online orientation, you are
responsible for contacting your instructor via telephone or e-mail. Your
instructor will be eager to "meet" you and answer any questions you may
have about the course. The course-specific
orientations above provide specific instructions about how to
contact your instructor. General information about the Darton College
Distance Learning Program is available on the Web at
http://online.darton.edu/or link to Distance Learning from the
Darton College Home Page at
www.darton.edu
The following quick reference resources are provided as a convenience
for students. Complete WebCT student user instructions are provided
inside the course under the Help menu.
To participate in online courses you will need access to a
computer that meets the
minimum system requirements.
The Browser Tune-up page
explains how to adjust your Internet browser settings for online
courses. You must configure your browser setting properly to access
course content. If you experience technical difficulties after
having followed the
Browser Tune-up page
with any online course component contact the WebHelp Desk for technical
assistance.
