Admissions
Students applying for admission to Darton College who have not previously attended a college or university, must provide SAT I or ACT scores, evidence of graduation from an accredited high school or a GED certificate, and a completed application form. Applicants must submit SAT I scores of 330 verbal (12 ACT) or 310 math (14 ACT), a 1.8 high school GPA and Freshman index = 1830.. Applicants must have completed at all 16 College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) courses in high school. (See the Darton College Admissions web page for application and complete admissions details).

Non-Traditional Students
Students who have not attended high school or college within the previous five years, unless they were admitted to the previous college as a non-traditional student, and have earned fewer than 30 transferable semester hours of college credit may submit a properly completed application for admission and a $20.00 non-refundable application fee. Non-traditional students are not required to take the SAT or ACT.  These students, however, must demonstrate math and verbal competency through the Compass Placement Examination and complete any learning support requirements. 

Transfer Credit
Darton College, a SACS accredited public college in the University System of Georgia, provides opportunities for degree seeking students by providing convenient access through the online degree program. With a transcript review, Darton will apply your previously earned college academic credit (up to 42 semester hours) from other accredited schools, provided they carry satisfactory grades and meet curricular requirements.  Darton Enrollment Advisors will assist you with a transcript evaluation.

Tuition and Fees for Online Degree students
Students who are admitted to our online degree programs, reside outside the Darton College service area, and who enroll only in online courses are eligible for the online course tuition rate. Out-of-state online students get the same low rate. At Darton College you can earn an associates degree from an accredited public college at the best possible value.

Please Note: Hope will pay for a maximum of $38 for fees. Students are responsible for the
other $10.
Fees do not include any additional lab fees, applied music fees or physical education fees.

Fees are subject to change prior to each semester.

Online Degree students taking 3 or more hours are required to pay the Technology Fee.

Financial Aid
Darton College online degree students may be eligible for federal financial aid to pay the cost of tuition, fees and books. The application for federal financial aid (grants, scholarships, and loans) is free.It is important to apply for financial aid as early as possible to allow for complete processing of your financial aid applications.  We want to help you reach your educational goals.  You'll need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)  annually to assist in determining financial need using confidential information provided by the applicant. 

The Darton College Federal identification number to be used on the FAFSA is 001543.  You'll also need to complete a Darton College Financial Aid Application annually.
